Aloe Vera

What is it?

Aloe Vera (Aloe Vera) is an evergreen succulent growing in arid climates around the world.

Main Benefits:

Moisturizing, soothing, anti-inflammatory.

More Information:

Aloe is found in many consumer products including beverages, skin lotion, cosmetics, ointments or in the form of gel for minor burns and sunburns. Many of the health benefits associated with Aloe vera have been attributed to the polysaccharides contained in the gel of the leaves. These biological activities include promotion of wound healing, anti-fungal activity, hypoglycemic or anti-diabetic effects, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, immunomodulatory and gastroprotective properties. There is some evidence that topical use of aloe products might relieve symptoms of certain skin disorders, such as psoriasis, acne, or rashes. When aloe is applied externally, it accelerates the regeneration of the damaged skin, helps retain skin moisture and integrity.
