Our Story

Our team is extremely passionate about preserving the health of our families and friends as well as our planet for our children and grandchildren. 

Our woman owned and created skincare business was born out of a love of plants and people. Our founder always had an affinity for flora which began during her childhood summers when she would stay on her grandparent’s farm in Russia, and she would tend to the vegetables and flowers. She continued her love of nature and life sciences through graduate school, earning her PhD in Biology and becoming a Biotech Executive in the US. 

During the start of the pandemic, she started researching health and wellness ideas to help others during these challenging times. She grew increasingly frustrated looking at long lists of chemicals in the top skincare products, which looked more like an organic chemistry book excerpt than something that is OK to put on our bodies. Obscure ingredient names were making zero sense even to the PhD’s among us.

After searching for an alternative and finding none, the founder started blending her own skincare products and giving them away to friends and relatives. As more people were getting interested in the concept of healthy and responsible skincare, the Terra Florens was born.

We base our formulations on plant ingredients, with minimal inclusion of synthetic molecules. When we use synthetics, we prefer the ones that already exist in nature, and are globally recognized as safe. 

We leverage the wisdom of traditional medicine and hard data generated by global scientific research. And we would never use ingredients that do not meet our stringent safety requirements. You will never find any toxic fillers, artificial colors or fragrances in our products.

We believe in responsible beauty practices and sustainable solutions in our packaging choices. All of our products are biodegradable and are created in the U.S.A. And of course, we would never conduct any testing on animals.  

Our skincare line consists of simple, sensible, healthy formulas designed by a scientist for people who take science (and their skin) seriously.
