DMAE

What is it?

DMAE stands for 2-Dimethylaminoethanol  (also known as deanol)

Main Benefits:

Anti-wrinkle, firming, smoothing, toning

More Information:

DMAE is naturally produced in the body. It’s also found in fatty fish, such as salmon, sardines, and anchovies. It is an analog of the B vitamin choline and is a precursor of acetylcholine. DMAE has been evaluated in a placebo-controlled, randomized clinical study.  3% DMAE facial gel applied daily for 16 weeks has been shown to be safe and efficacious in the mitigation of forehead lines and periorbital fine wrinkles, and in improving lip shape and fullness and the overall appearance of aging skin. These effects did not regress after cessation of application. Beneficial trends were noted in the appearance of coarse wrinkles, under-eye dark circles, nasolabial folds, sagging neck skin, and neck firmness. Another study has demonstrated that DMAE-supplemented formulation led to increased dermal thickness and increased  collagen fiber thickness.
